Clinching

A joining method based on plastic deformation of the material to create homogeneous or heterogeneous joints on two or even three layers of sheet metal. This is a cold process, i.e. there is no thermal effect on the material and therefore it can be used for plated materials.

The joint is formed in one stroke by the action of the upper and lower tools. Specified by standard DIN 8593.
